Are anticoagulation medications needed in moderate to severe cases of COVID-19 infections?

  • In the present study, blood tests were performed on 255 moderate to severe COVID-19 patients who were treated with anticoagulants and immunosuppressants.


  • It has been concluded that hemostatic disorder in COVID19 has been correlated with increased systemic inflammation, disease severity, comorbidities, and mortality risk.


  • Coagulopathy in COVID 19 can lead to both ischemia and bleeding. Management and prevention of thrombotic complications in COVID-19 cases should be provided.
